Amazing. Excellent thoughts dear Prof and I agree with you completely. We hope our Leaders, Policy-Makers and decision makers in the Global South listens. Well done Sir β π
Martin Luther King Jr. 1963 speech - I have a dream
"... This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy; now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice; now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood; now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.
It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality."
Thank you Fadhel for another great article and video presentations.
We cannot even begin to talk about bargaining with the international financial institutions or western financial institutions if there were no alternatives. Before the rise of China, there were no such alternatives, and the west simply imposed their neo-colonial policies on us. If your government protested, then they destabilised or sanctioned it, assassinated the leader or overthrew the government. If they couldnβt do any of these they simply found some excuse (usually human rights or democracy) to justify military action against that country. Then they imposed some corrupt puppet on the nation who would give them what they want.
This explains why the neo-colonisers are doing everything to βcontainβ China as I right this. They see China as the greatest threat to the current world order by which they plunder the global south. China has achieved its economic prosperity without colonisation or slave plantations. Think of the colonisers as parasites. The parasites see China as an existential threat - an antidote that threatens to cut off their food/energy/oxygen supply.
Without China, we have no bargaining rights or powers.
